The Ride the Alps mountain bike route from Chamonix to Briançon is fantastic point-to-point adventure. 6 days of spectacular biking featuring some of the best singletrack linking the Northern and Southern Alps.

Starting in Chamonix there are two options for the route into Beaufort. The hardest involves a push up to a summit with a breathtaking view but both routes make the most of the lifts and the excellent singletrack they give access to. After a comfortable night in a hotel in the picturesque cheese-making village of Beaufort we adjust our compasses and head directly South. Over the next two days we cross some huge passes and big valleys. This is big Alpine scenery at its best with some massive descents that are pure singletrack heaven. We have one night in a rustic refuge in the heart of the mountains and then a comfortable hotel night in the resort town of Valloire. We start with a morning of bike park fun before continuing our journey South. We cross a col below the mighty Galibier with another long descent to our penultimate night in the beautiful old Alpine village of Nevache. The final day of riding to Briançon involves some hike-a-bike up to the high point of the day but we are rewarded with a fantastic view of Briançon and the Southern Alps. The last descent into Briançon is one of the best of the trip with a series of tight switchbacks that lead us directly to the heart of the charming old town. For this final day there are several options to choose from as there is a wealth of riding on offer in and around Briançon. Jamie will select the best day ride taking into consider the ability and tiredness of the group as well as weather and trail conditions.
