Summer is in full swing here in the Alps and the first of our point-to-point trips – a Chamonix – Zermatt tour – has come to a successful conclusion. Surprisingly there were no issues with snow and the highest point of the trip was pretty much clear. Jamie has two more Chamonix – Zermatt trips to guide this month. One with and one without van support. He’s looking forward to testing out his new bike-packing set-up during the self-support trip. A selection of photos from the trip are featured in this post.
Our season is now fully booked until 20th September but we are very happy to keep running centre-based long weekends or mid-week breaks right through to mid-October so if please do get in touch if you’re interested. We already have one or two single riders looking to form a group. Alternatively if you want to ride independently and are looking for somewhere to stay our holiday apartment is available from 15th August onward. We will be more than happy to help you with route recommendations. The lifts in our valley stay open until 31st August.
It might be mid-summer but we are always planning ahead for the next season. The winter season is 5 months away and we are now taking bookings for our fat biking short breaks. In 2019 we are teaming-up with our local auberge and restaurant La Reposette who will be providing the accommodation for our fat biking trips. La Reposette is one of our favourite places to go to for apres bike/ski and for an evening meal. Dutch-run, La Reposette has a friendly, warm vibe and offers traditional French and international cuisine. For a group of 4 the price of a long weekend staying at La Reposette is 575 euro p.p. This includes: 2 days fully guided fat-biking, 3 nights bed and breakfast accommodation (dinner is a la carte), 2 days fat bike hire, van support for logistics and return airport transfers from and back to Geneva.
We are also taking bookings for summer 2019 so if you have a group and a trip in mind get in touch soon to avoid disappointment.
Happy July everyone!
