Canadian Wilderness

Twelve days riding on some of the world's best singletrack. This is the trip to do if you have the time and skill to enjoy this outstanding mountain biking playground to the full. The riding is certainly a step up from the Alps in terms of the level of technical ability needed.

We will start and finish the trip based in Whistler where there’s a huge variety of natural and man-made trails to ride in and outside of the bike park. Whilst staying in Whistler we’ll also take the opportunity to sample the wonderful swooping trails of Pemberton. From our base in a log cabin at Tyax resort you’ll get the chance to ride some of the best natural single track in the world! From local rides around Tyaughton lake to a spectacular float plane ride into Spruce Lake National Park in the Chilcotin Hills, as featured in “the Collective” mountain bike DVD. Why choose Ride the Alps

Ride the Alps was set up in 2002 by Jamie Carr and is run by Jamie and his partner Mary Kirkbride. The company was born from Jamie’s deep passion for mountain biking and its primary aim is to offer mountain bikers the opportunity to ride on some of the best trails in the French and Swiss Alps. Jamie is one of the select few guides who has International Mountain Leader (IML) and British Mountain Bike Leader qualifications and 2012 will be Jamie’s 27th year of riding mountain bikes and 20th year of guiding mountain bike trips all over the world.
