Planning your summer of mountain biking

Why not combine your mountain bike holiday with one of the many events going on in the Northern French Alps this summer.

There are a lot of bike events taking place in our part of the Alps this season. Why not combine your mountain biking holiday with one of the following:

A visit to Crankworx (Les Gets 15-19 June) http://www.crankworx.com/festival/les-gets/ . “This five-day celebration of jaw-dropping riding sees the gravity mountain bike scene descend on a key European riding hub, bringing its competitions, new products, demo bikes, music, photography and parties along for the ride.”

Watching a stage of the Tour de France (Sallanches/St Gervais/Samoens, Morzine 21st-23rd July) http://www.letour.fr/le-tour/2016/fr/parcours-general.html. There’s a 17km time trail in Sallanches, a 146km stage from Albertville to St Gervais and then – the jewel in the crown – on the penultimate day of Le Tour a lung bursting race up the famous Col de Joux Plane (which starts in Samoens) finishing in Morzine. Not to be missed!

Participating in (or watching!) the French Enduro series in Samoens (6th-7th August) http://tribe-events.com/index.php/core-features/5-samoens  There’s always a great atmosphere in Samoens for this event. Jamie will be racing again this year – all extra support welcome!

Email us if you’d like to know which trips would fit in with these events.
