We know that many of you worry about transporting your bikes by plane. There is always the risk of damage to a much loved bike. Fortunately Jamie and I have never had any problems flying with our bikes and Jamie in particular has taken his bike all over the world. I think the secret is having a really good travel bag and packing your bike well. We are often asked for tips on how to pack your bike and the best travel bag to buy. Our friends at Polaris have the answers. Have a look at this video on their website, which gives great packing instructions http://lookbook.polaris-bikewear.co.uk/packing-instructions/. They also have a whole range of bike travel bags for mountain and road bikes http://lookbook.polaris-bikewear.co.uk/product-type/luggage/. They even have special bags for 29ers. The bags are available to rent or purchase so you don’t have to splash out on buying a bag if you’re an infrequent traveler. If you are taking your bike on an adventure this summer – enjoy the ride!
